… aka a year to remember… 

After the year we’ve all had, 2021 is going to come as a relief to lots of us. A local, family-run team, we’re looking forward and building on what we’ve learnt in 2020. Here are a few of the ways we’ve been working to help out our clients and wider community.

Hello Ozone!

Ozone is a naturally occurring gas created from oxygen molecules. What’s great about an Ozone laundry system is that there are no pollutants, it uses less water, and is both gentler and more powerful than chlorine, working by killing organisms and bacteria before it naturally returns to oxygen. Giving us a powerful way to sanitize and really clean your laundry, we see it as an important way to offer a great laundry service, help people stay safe and support the environment.

Lockdown laundry

Helping a family member or friend with their laundry used to be straightforward, as did a trip to the local laundrette. However, our serial lockdowns proved hard for those shielding, caring for others and anyone without a washing machine. Over the last few months we’ve been delighted to help. Our friendly, uniformed drivers can collect bagged up laundry in a COVID-secure way, returning the washing clean, fresh and pressed to the door. It’s just one less thing for you to worry about.

Let’s hear it for holiday lets

After a time of empty lets and guest houses, thankfully the hospitality business is being allowed to operate, albeit in as secure a way as possible. Navigating the tier system will be with us for a while and throughout this we can offer flexible laundry support alongside our local contacts. We have lots of experience in the sector and can help with COVID deep cleaning between lets.

Student support

We are also working hard to look after some of the many students that arrive in York each year. Currently many are, or will have to, self-isolate over the coming weeks and months. Our hearts go out to them and that’s why we’re helping to ensure they can drop off and receive fresh clean laundry. No one should ever be without a clean pair of undies!

Looking ahead to 2021

We’re all excited about the prospect of a vaccination to help us meet again as normal and, while this isn’t possible just yet, we’re ready to ease the load over the festive season and the New Year deep clean to brighten your soft furnishings, bedding and table linen.
