Simply use a mesh washing machine bag  or sack for all your small items: socks, thongs, knickers… and never lose another sock again! It also helps to sense check what colours you’re mixing up.

Easily available online or from the laundry aisle of home stores, the bags are usually fitted with draw string tops or zips. The mesh bags are also great for travellers to store their dirty undies while away from home and any number of other things that you don’t want to spread around your suitcase.

Also a must for students who share facilities. Use them to contain your trainers when you wash them or very delicate items. Just brilliant to have around, they usually come in a range of sizes and have a million and one other uses (we’ve seen them full of vegetables and bath time toys)
